The RESERVE and TD AMERITRADE marketed and sold the RESERVE YIELD PLUS FUNDS (Symbols RYPTX, RYPQX, RYPJX and RYPYX) as safe money market alternatives to retail TD AMERITRADE account holders and others. Many retail investors were misled to believe that Reserve Yield Plus was a “savings account” equivalent -represented at times to be safer than money market funds- providing absolute liquidity and safety. Many TD Ameritrade account holders sought protection from market turmoil by liquidating stock holdings and depositing vital cash into these Reserve Yield Plus Funds.
Miller & Milove filed the initial class action seeking recovery for all TD AMERITRADE and RESERVE YIELD PLUS investors who were victimized by misleading representations during the time period July 27, 2007 through September 16, 2008 (the proposed “CLASS PERIOD”).
